FebriDx® is a rapid immunoassay for the visual, qualitative, in vitro detection of elevated levels of both MxA and CRP directly from fingerstick whole blood to aid in differentiation of bacterial from viral infection. This assay aids in the evaluation of infection by identifying and differentiating a clinically significant immune response to a suspected viral and/or bacterial infection in patients 1 year of age or older that present within 3 days of an acute onset fever (exhibited or reported).
